Steven Byford
Tax Manager
Steven Byford
Tax Manager
Running a business comes with enough challenges without having to worry whether you’re paying more tax than you need to or missing opportunities along the way. My role is to give business owners the confidence that everything that can be done is being done, so they can focus on growing their business.
I advise owner-managed businesses, helping them navigate the ever-changing world of tax with practical, proactive advice. While compliance is an important part of what we do, I believe the real value comes from looking ahead, spotting opportunities and making sure clients are in the best possible position before decisions are made, not after.
Whether that’s through corporation tax planning, succession planning or wider tax advice, my aim is always the same: to give clients peace of mind that their tax affairs are being looked after properly, so they can spend more time doing what they do best – running their business.
Outside the office, I’m usually in the gym, watching football or convincing myself this is finally the year I’ll win Fantasy Premier League. I also dabble in a bit of golf here and there, although I don’t claim to be any good. When I get the chance to switch off, I enjoy a good science fiction or fantasy novel – Red Rising and The Will of the Many are two I’d happily recommend.
